Chef Arturo Vargas is the owner of Taste for the Senses and a native of Acapulco, Mexico. Chef Arturo Vargas is a respected health educator and was formally trained in culinary arts in Mexico. He has worked in some of San Francisco, California’s finest restaurants. Taste for the Sense is a boutique catering business. Taste for the Senses provides a menu that is colorful, fresh and uses the healthiest ingredients. Chef Arturo will design special menus for our clients based on culinary taste, preferences, occasion and budgetary considerations. Chef Arturo prepares his unique cuisine with artistic design, passion and flavor. He is dedicated to professionalism and creating an unforgettable dining experience. He specializes in authentic, Mexican Coastal and California cuisine that is healthy, colorful, aromatic and full of flavor- Appealing to Your Palate- “A Taste for Your Senses.”

Chef Vargas has appeared as a Guest Chef on international television stations is a well known instructor of healthy cooking classes for organizations, such as the University of California, Davis, American Heart Association, Northern California School Districts and Whole Foods Market. His culinary knowledge and expertise has been featured in several publications including Wiles Magazine, Sacramento Magazine, Inside Publications and Luxe Life magazine. He has been a regular Guest Chef on many local and international television and radio stations including Univision, Channel 10, Telemundo and on the Simply Recipes website. In 2014, he released his first cookbook through the Safe School Healthy Students Initiative of the Yolo County Office of Education which has been sent to the National Institute of Health and the White House.

Taste for the Senses is a full-service caterer and has catered weddings, private parties, fundraisers, corporate barbecues, holiday celebrations, conferences, special events, festivals and large and small corporate events in a variety of venues throughout the Bay Area and Northern California.
